Talent is Never Enough*

I got a call Saturday from my writer-friend Sue: "Let's get together, I want to bully you."

Turns out, she apparently thinks I have some talent worth honing. So, with that kind of opening argument, it was relatively easy for her to convince me (with no bruising involved) to join a writers' forum.

I have always been intrigued by the idea of becoming a published author, but it's been more of a idle daydream than a serious goal. I write when I feel compelled to write. I share the results with a few and bask in whatever limited praise the work might elicit. In contrast, the forum is a place where I can post my work for critique - with the intent of helping improve my writing.

So with her encouragement, I applied to the forum and was accepted.** Stay tuned for slow'n'steady: new'n'improved!
