Brand Spanking New

Now that I have a new dryer, my washer looks older than it did yesterday. My hands definitely have aged after spending all day scrubbing and polishing the old ones and cleaning the footprints they left behind. You'd think the stove would be the worst to wipe up side and back, but no, it was the dryer.

I like the bigger fridge. The stove arrived in the wrong color, so I'm doing takeout for the next four days. Or crock pot or electric skillet. Thankfully Wednesday Family Supper at the church is a reasonably priced, well balanced meal I can take home.

Come visit me. You can see me use my brand spanking new stuff!

  1. What a delightful peek into the past! Your description of 'brand new' treasures from decades ago makes me appreciate how much craftsmanship and care went into everyday items back then. It's funny how today we're so quick to replace rather than repair - I wonder if those old appliances lasted longer simply because people knew how to care for them properly. Speaking of which, when something breaks these days, it's refreshing to know quality Appliance Repair Escondido services can help extend the life of our modern machines. Do you still have any of these 'new' items from your collection? They sound like wonderful keepsakes!
