List Breaker

And then I got the phone call. A friend I haven't seen in nearly a year.

"Hi, I'm at your house, where are you?"

Me: "You're in town? Stay there, I'm 10 minutes away, heading your way."

We visited, then I ran to do a few of the unpostponable items on my list while she kept her appointment with her daughter at the mall, then we met for dinner.

We shared about her new grandbaby and the successful surgery to remove a tumour from her teenage daughter's face. My little frustrations seem small in comparison.

It was a delightful invasion of my day and well worth setting aside most of my listed items.
