...it may be my fault.

Not intentionally.

I'm replacing all the light fixtures. I know basic wiring, this really isn't rocket science, but I still feel nervous every time I change a fixture.



Black wire to black wire, white to white, gold to ground screw, tuck in the wiring, seal the unit, throw the breaker back on - turn on the switch and pray it doesn't explode. :-)

So far so good.
